E-invoice

In Arabic الفاتورة الإلكترونية

An invoice issued in a structured electronic format, digitally signed and shared with the tax authority under an e-invoicing scheme.

In plain words

Under e-invoicing, a PDF or paper invoice is not enough. The invoice is built in a set format, signed, given a QR code, and either cleared by the tax authority before it is issued or reported to it shortly after.

Many schemes treat invoices to businesses and to consumers differently: business invoices are cleared first, consumer invoices reported later. The buyer’s tax number usually decides which applies.

The common mistake is forgetting the invoices raised outside the office, at the till or in a van. They are invoices too, and follow the same rules.

How Axon Suite handles it

In Axon Suite an invoice to a business is cleared with the tax authority inside its posting, and if the authority refuses it, the invoice does not post. A simplified invoice is signed at posting and reported afterwards.

Feature

Cleared at posting, sent once

An invoice to a business is cleared with the tax authority inside its posting, and if the authority refuses it, the invoice does not post. Every attempt is recorded, and a retried post replays the first answer instead of sending again.
