Online orders delivered by your own reps

Draw the areas you deliver to, hand each order to a rep who covers it, and let the customer follow the rep on a map. Delivery updates stock, the invoice and the ledger.

How a delivery runs

  1. Draw the service area

Draw it on a map and set its price list, the warehouse it ships from, a delivery fee and the reps who cover it.

  2. The customer orders

Checkout accepts only an address inside an active area. The area’s delivery fee is added to the order as its own line.

  3. A rep claims it or is assigned

The area’s reps get a push for the new order and can claim it in the rep app, or the dispatcher assigns it from the board.

  4. Out for delivery

The rep marks the order out for delivery. The customer is notified and can see the rep on a map.

  5. Deliver all or part

The rep delivers everything still owed, or enters what was delivered line by line. The stock leaves the order’s warehouse.

  6. Invoice and close

The rep invoices what was delivered, with the delivery fee. The invoice posts, and the order closes once it is shipped in full and billed.

Control from the office

The dispatch board

Online orders waiting for a rep, each rep’s orders by status, today’s deliveries, and a map of orders and reps.

Orders stay in their area

An order in a service area goes only to a rep that area lists. One placed in no area is open to any rep.

Rep location

The rep app reports its position every two minutes while the workday is open. Positions are kept for 90 days.

Out for delivery on the order

The office can mark a sales order out for delivery too, and every status change is kept in the order’s history.

Partial shipping

An order delivered in part shows as partially shipped, and can go out again for the rest.

Order notifications

The customer is told in the app and by push when the order is accepted, out for delivery, delivered or cancelled.

Questions buyers ask about delivery

Can the customer see where the rep is?

Yes, while the order is out for delivery. The customer app shows the rep’s position from the last ten minutes on a map, with distance and an arrival estimate, and refreshes on its own.

Is the arrival time based on live traffic?

No. It estimates the road distance from the straight line and assumes city driving speed, rounded up to five minutes.

Can an order be delivered in two trips?

Yes. Deliver part now and the rest later. The order shows as partially shipped, and the rep can invoice what was delivered so far.

Do we charge for delivery?

If you want to. Each area can carry a fixed delivery fee, sold as a non-stock item you choose. An area with no fee delivers free.

Are reps tracked all the time?

No. The rep app reports position only while the rep’s workday is open, and customers see it only for an order that is out for delivery.
