Kit

In Arabic الطقم

An item sold as a single line but made up of other items, whose components leave stock when the kit is sold.

In plain words

A gift box, a promotional pack or a starter set is sold under one name and price, but the warehouse holds its parts: the coffee, the mug, the biscuits. Selling the kit takes those parts out of stock.

The kit’s recipe lists each component and how much of it one kit uses. Some businesses also let parts be swapped or left out, within set rules.

The common mistake is stocking the kit as an item of its own while also stocking its parts. The same goods are then counted twice, and the kit’s cost drifts from the cost of what went into it.
