In Arabic تصدير البيانات
A data export copies records out of a business system into a file, such as an Excel workbook or a CSV file, to be analysed, shared or loaded elsewhere.
However good a system’s screens, people still need the data in a spreadsheet: a customer list for a campaign, invoices for an auditor, stock movements to analyse. An export gives them a copy they can sort, pivot and send without asking someone to build a report.
Good exports start from a filtered list, so the file holds exactly the rows on screen, in the same order. Excel keeps formats and is easy to read; CSV is plain text that almost any other system can load. Large exports are often built in the background and downloaded when ready.
The common mistake is treating an export as a live figure. The file is a snapshot of the moment it was made: a month later it is out of date, and edits made in the spreadsheet never reach the system. Note the date on it, and export again rather than reuse it.
In Axon Suite
Axon Suite exports customers, vendors, items, stock movements, invoices, bills, payments and journals to Excel or CSV, with your filters and sort. The file is built in the background, and a notification says when it is ready.
Filter and sort a list the way you need it, then export it to Excel or CSV. Axon Suite builds the file in the background and tells you when it is ready to download.
