In Arabic فاتورة المورّد
An invoice received from a vendor, recorded in the books as an amount the business owes and must pay by the due date.
The bill turns a delivery into a debt. Before it is posted, it is checked against the purchase order for price and against the goods receipt for quantity, often called a three-way match.
Recording the vendor’s own invoice number on the bill makes it easy to find later, and to spot the same invoice entered twice.
The common mistake is paying from the vendor’s invoice alone. A bill for 100 units when 96 arrived is paid in full unless someone checks it against the receipt.
In Axon Suite
Axon Suite draws the vendor’s bill from the goods receipt, billing each line at the purchase order’s agreed price and discount under the vendor’s own invoice number. You can’t bill more than was received, and the same vendor invoice can’t be entered twice.
