Goods receipt

In Arabic سند الاستلام

A document recording the goods actually received from a vendor, usually checked against the purchase order they were ordered on.

In plain words

The receipt is the moment stock goes up. It records what arrived, how many and where it was put away, and for tracked items the lot or serial numbers and expiry dates.

An order often arrives in several deliveries, so each receipt takes what came and the order stays partly received until the rest arrives. The receipt usually takes its cost from the order’s agreed price.

The common mistake is receiving what the delivery note says rather than what was counted at the dock. Any shortage then reaches the vendor’s bill and gets paid.

In Axon Suite

How Axon Suite handles it

Axon Suite receives an approved order into the warehouse’s bins, with lots or serials, part now and the rest later. A receipt past the ordered quantity is refused, and each line takes the order line’s net price as its cost.

Feature

Receive against the order, never over it

Open the approved order and the receipt fills itself with what is still to come. Put it into bins, enter lots or serials where the item is tracked, and take part now and the rest later. A receipt past the ordered quantity is refused.
