How subsidiaries are set up
Add the subsidiary
Give it a code, currency, country, tax number, fiscal year start, time zone and logo.
Numbering follows
A new subsidiary gets its own document number sequences, ready to shape.
Place your users
Tie each user to one subsidiary or give them the whole account. A field rep is always tied to one.
Switch or view all
A user with the whole account picks a subsidiary from the top bar, or views all of them.
Details that matter
Fixed once saved
A subsidiary’s code, currency and country cannot be changed after it is saved.
Its own calendar
Business dates are read in the subsidiary’s own time zone, and its fiscal year starts in the month you set.
Cutting scope cuts sessions
Tying a user to one subsidiary ends their open sessions, so the narrower view applies at once.
Questions buyers ask
Can a user see some subsidiaries but not others?
Not yet. A user is tied to one subsidiary or has the whole account.
Do the subsidiaries share customers and items?
Records that belong to a subsidiary stay with it, and a user tied to one never sees another’s.
Can each subsidiary use a different currency?
Yes. Each one has its own currency, set when it is created.
