FEFO
In Arabic الأقرب انتهاءً يخرج أولاً (FEFO)
First expired, first out: a picking rule that sends out the stock with the nearest expiry date first, whatever order it arrived in.

For food, drinks, medicine and cosmetics, the date on the pack matters more than the date it arrived. FEFO picks by expiry, so short-dated stock leaves before long-dated stock and less of it ends up written off.
To work, every lot needs its expiry date recorded when it is received, and pickers need to know which lot to take. On a busy floor that means the system chooses the lot, not the person at the shelf.
A common mistake is to assume FIFO does the same job. A later delivery can carry an earlier expiry date, and FIFO would leave that stock on the shelf until it expires.
In Axon Suite
When a line names no lot, Axon Suite takes the soonest-expiring stock in the bin first, and lots with no expiry go after those that have one. Name a lot on the line and that lot is the one that leaves.
Lot-tracked items carry their expiry and manufacture dates from the day they arrive. When a line names no lot, Axon Suite takes the soonest-expiring stock in the bin, so nobody has to remember which pallet is short-dated.
