In Arabic الشحنة الجزئية
A partial shipment sends only some of an order’s lines or quantities now, with the rest following in one or more later shipments.
Waiting until every line is in stock can hold up a whole order for one missing item. Shipping what is ready gets most of the goods to the customer now and keeps the rest of the order open.
Each shipment should record exactly what left the warehouse. The order then shows how much is shipped and how much is still to go, and the invoice for each shipment bills only what was in it.
The common mistake is invoicing the whole order on the first shipment. The customer is billed for goods still in your warehouse, the balance looks overdue, and the next delivery has to be argued over.
In Axon Suite
In Axon Suite you ship the lines and quantities that are ready, the order shows as partially shipped, and you invoice only what left the warehouse.
A shipment opens from the order with everything still to go, and you send the lines and quantities that are ready. The order shows as partially shipped, each invoice is drawn from goods that have left, and the order closes itself once it is shipped and billed in full.
