Tax invoice

In Arabic الفاتورة الضريبية

An invoice that meets the tax rules for a VAT sale, naming seller and buyer with their tax numbers, so the buyer can reclaim the VAT charged.

In plain words

A business buyer can reclaim the VAT it pays only with a proper tax invoice. For the seller, issuing one correctly is part of collecting VAT, and a missing detail can cost the customer their input tax.

It carries a unique number, the date, both parties’ names and tax numbers, each line with its net, rate and VAT, and the totals. Under e-invoicing, many schemes require it to be cleared by the tax authority before it is issued.

The common mistake is changing a tax invoice after it is issued. Once issued it stands; a correction is made with a credit or debit note that names it.

Worked exampleA tax invoice with two VAT rates
Line 1, net at 15%
SAR 3,000.00
VAT on line 1
SAR 450.00
Line 2, net at 0%
SAR 1,000.00
VAT on line 2
SAR 0.00
Invoice total
SAR 4,450.00

How Axon Suite handles it

In Axon Suite an invoice to a buyer with a tax number is standard, and it is cleared with the tax authority inside its posting. If the authority refuses it, the invoice does not post.

Feature

Cleared at posting, sent once

An invoice to a business is cleared with the tax authority inside its posting, and if the authority refuses it, the invoice does not post. Every attempt is recorded, and a retried post replays the first answer instead of sending again.
