In Arabic المستودع
A warehouse is a physical place where a business holds stock, recorded in its system as a location with its own on-hand quantities and value.
Every unit of stock sits somewhere, and the warehouse is how the system says where. Each warehouse holds its own balance of every item, so a sales order can be promised from stock that is actually nearby and a count can be checked against one place.
A warehouse is usually divided into smaller locations such as aisles, shelves or bins. For a distributor a warehouse need not be a building: a branch store and a delivery van can each be set up as one, with stock moving between them by transfer.
The common mistake is running one warehouse in the system for several real places. Stock looks available when it is in the wrong city, transfers are never recorded, and every count turns into a hunt across sites.
In Axon Suite
Axon Suite holds several warehouses, each with its own bins, and treats each rep’s van as a stock location too. A transfer moves stock between them in one posting.
A transfer names where the goods leave and where they land: another warehouse, another bin in the same warehouse, or a rep’s van. Posting it takes the stock out and puts it in at once, so nothing is lost between two entries.
