Stock moves in one document, out of one place and into the next
A transfer names where the goods leave and where they land: another warehouse, another bin in the same warehouse, or a rep’s van. Posting it takes the stock out and puts it in at once, so nothing is lost between two entries.

How a transfer runs
Name both ends
Pick the warehouse the goods leave and the one they go to. For a move inside one warehouse, name the bin they land in.
Add the lines
Each line takes an item, a quantity in any of its units, and the bins on each side.
Post
The stock leaves one place and arrives in the other in the same posting, and the ledger records both sides.
Void if needed
A posted transfer can be voided, which puts the stock back where it came from.
Details that matter
Vans are warehouses too
A rep loads or unloads the van from the rep app. That raises a transfer between the van and its home warehouse.
Only catalogue items go on the van
A rep can load only items their catalogue holds.
No stock out of thin air
A transfer that would take a bin below zero is refused, unless that warehouse is set to allow negative stock.
Questions buyers ask
Can we move stock between bins in the same warehouse?
Yes. Leave the receiving warehouse as the same one and name the bin each line lands in.
Can a rep load the van without the office?
The rep raises the load from the app; it arrives as a transfer from the van’s home warehouse.
Does a transfer change the value of stock?
No. The goods keep their cost; the ledger moves it out of one warehouse and into the other.
