In Arabic الإيقاف الائتماني
A credit hold stops an order or account from going further because the customer is over their credit limit or overdue, until someone authorised releases it.
A hold is softer than a refusal. The order is kept, nothing ships, and a person with the authority to decide looks at it: perhaps a payment is on the way, perhaps the customer is good for it, perhaps not.
Releasing a hold should be a deliberate act by someone with that right, and the release should be recorded. A rep or salesperson who can release their own held orders makes the limit meaningless.
The other common mistake is the hold nobody sees. An order waits for days because no one was told it was held, and the customer assumes you have lost it.
In Axon Suite
In Axon Suite an order over the limit waits on hold or is refused, as your sales settings say. Only a user whose role holds approval rights on sales orders can release the hold, and releasing it confirms the order.
Every order is checked against the customer’s limit the moment it is saved, in the office and in the rep’s app. Over the limit, it is held for someone with approval rights or refused, as your settings say.
