E-invoicing device

In Arabic جهاز الفوترة الإلكترونية

A registered signing unit, holding its own key and certificate, that a seller uses to sign each e-invoice before it is issued or reported.

In plain words

Under many e-invoicing schemes, the tax authority needs to know which unit signed each invoice. Each device is onboarded and certified, so a signed invoice can be traced to the business and unit that issued it.

Onboarding usually means a one-time code from the authority, a key created for the device and a certificate issued against it, often after test documents pass a compliance check. Each device then signs in its own numbered sequence.

The common mistake is letting a device’s certificate lapse. Once it expires the device stops signing, and invoices cannot be issued until it is renewed.
