Invoice QR code

In Arabic رمز QR للفاتورة

A QR code printed on an e-invoice that carries key invoice details and its signature, so a buyer or inspector can check the invoice with a phone.

In plain words

The QR code lets anyone holding the paper check that the invoice is real and unaltered, without logging in anywhere. Many e-invoicing schemes require it on every printed invoice, including receipts from the till and the van.

It typically holds the seller’s name and tax number, the date and time, the total and the VAT, and on signed invoices a hash and the signature. It is produced when the invoice is signed, then printed.

The common mistake is printing a QR before the invoice is signed, or rebuilding it later from the printed figures. The code must come from the signed invoice, or it will not verify.
