Distributors run promotions to clear stock, launch a product or win shelf space. The common types are free goods on a quantity, a percentage or amount off, a bundle price, and offers limited to certain customers or dates. Each has a condition and a reward.
When several promotions run at once, there needs to be a rule for which applies first and whether they combine. Each promotion also needs a clear end, whether a date in the system or someone switching it off, so it does not outlive the deal.
The common mistake is not measuring the result. A promotion that gives away 40 cartons to sell 30 extra has lost money, however busy the month looked. Compare volume during the promotion with a normal period, and set it against what the reward cost.

Axon Suite’s one promotion type is buy-and-get-free: buy a quantity of one item and get a quantity of another free, added in multiples as a zero-price line.
Set a promotion once: buy a quantity of one item and get a quantity of another free. Every qualifying cart gets its free goods as a zero-price line named after the promotion, in the office, the rep app and the customer app, and the free quantity grows with each full multiple.
