Visit frequency is how often a rep calls on a given customer, such as twice a week, weekly or every other week, set by the customer’s value and needs.
Not every customer needs the same attention. A busy supermarket may need a visit twice a week to keep its shelf full, while a small kiosk is well served every other week. Visit frequency matches the rep’s time to what each customer is worth.
Frequencies are usually set by customer class, from sales volume or potential, and then turned into the journey plan: a twice-weekly customer appears on two days, a weekly one on one. The total number of visits must fit the rep’s working days.
The common mistake is giving every customer the same frequency. Reps then spend as long at a shop that buys once a month as at one that reorders every few days, and the best customers run short.
In Axon Suite
In Axon Suite you plan each rep’s week by putting customers on weekdays, and a customer can sit on a rep’s day only once, so the same stop is never planned twice in a day.
Put each rep’s customers on weekdays from a map, in the order they are visited. At midnight in your time zone the plan becomes that day’s route in the rep app. A skipped stop needs a reason, and unplanned visits are counted apart from planned ones.
