Fewer “where is my order” calls

While an order is out for delivery, the customer app shows the rep’s latest position on a map, the distance to the delivery address and an arrival estimate. It refreshes on its own, and a push marks each step of the order.

How tracking works

  1. Out for delivery

The rep marks the order out for delivery, and the customer gets a push.

  2. The rep reports

The rep app sends its position every two minutes while the workday is open.

  3. The customer looks

The order screen shows the rep and the address on a map, with distance and arrival time, refreshing every minute.

  4. Delivered

Once delivered, tracking stops and the customer is told the order has arrived.

Details that matter

Only recent positions

The map shows the rep only from a position in the last ten minutes. An older one is not shown.

Only this order

A customer sees the rep only for their own order, and only while it is out for delivery.

Every step told

The customer gets a push when the order is accepted, out for delivery, delivered or cancelled.

Questions buyers ask

Is the arrival time based on live traffic?

No. The road is taken as 30% longer than the straight line, driven at 30 km/h, and rounded up to five minutes.

Can a customer follow a rep all day?

No. Tracking shows only for the customer’s own order while it is out for delivery.

How long are rep positions kept?

Ninety days, then they are deleted.
