How an area is set up
Draw it
Draw the boundary on the map and give the area a name, unique within the subsidiary.
Price and stock
Choose its price list and the warehouse it ships from. Leave the warehouse empty and the nearest one is used for each order.
Delivery fee
Set a fee and the non-stock item it is sold as. With no fee, the area delivers free.
Reps
List the reps who cover the area. They are the ones offered its orders.
Details that matter
Outside means no
An address outside every active area is refused at checkout, so nobody orders what you cannot deliver.
The customer’s own prices
A customer with their own price list sees those prices in the app, in place of the area’s list.
The fee is a line
The delivery fee is added to the order as its own line, so it is invoiced and taxed like any other.
Questions buyers ask
Can delivery fees depend on distance?
Not yet. Each area has one fixed fee, or none.
What if an area has no reps listed?
Orders can still be placed there, but no rep is offered them until you list some.
Can I pause an area?
Yes. Make it inactive and checkout stops accepting addresses inside it. Archive it when it is gone for good.
