A barcode for the piece, another for the carton
An item can carry several barcodes, each tied to one of its units, with one marked as its main barcode. Reps scan that barcode with the phone camera to find the item in the catalogue or in the van’s stock, even offline.

How barcodes are set up
Add the barcode
Enter the code on the item and choose the unit it is printed on.
Mark the main one
One barcode per item is its main barcode. Marking a new one moves the mark across.
Scan in the field
In the rep app, scan to jump to the item in the catalogue or when loading the van.
Details that matter
One code, one item
A barcode can’t be used twice across the company, so a scan never lands on the wrong item.
Only the item’s own units
A barcode can only be tied to a unit the item converts. Add the conversion first.
Works without signal
The rep app looks the code up on the phone, so scanning works offline.
Questions buyers ask
Can a carton and a single piece have different barcodes?
Yes. Each barcode is tied to a unit, so the carton code and the piece code both belong to the item.
Which barcode does the rep app scan?
The item’s main barcode. Mark the one printed on the goods your reps handle.
Do reps need a scanner?
No. The rep app scans with the phone’s camera.
