In Arabic التوزيع المباشر للمتاجر
Direct store delivery is a distribution method in which the supplier delivers goods straight to each retail outlet, bypassing the retailer’s central warehouse.
With direct store delivery the supplier’s own people bring the goods to the shop, often check the shelf and rotate stock while they are there. It keeps fresh and fast-selling products on the shelf and gives the supplier first-hand sight of every outlet.
It is usually run one of two ways. In pre-sell, a rep takes the order today and a truck delivers it later. In van sales, the rep sells from the stock on the vehicle and delivers at once. Many distributors mix both.
A common mistake is running orders and deliveries as separate records. The shop is then invoiced for what was ordered rather than what arrived, and every short delivery becomes a dispute at collection time.
In Axon Suite
In the Axon Suite rep app a rep can take an order for later delivery, or invoice on the spot from the van’s stock.
Check-ins, orders, invoices, payments and returns are saved on the phone when there is no signal, then sent once it returns. Each one keeps the day of the sale and is sent only once, however often it has to retry.
