In Arabic مندوب المبيعات الميداني
A field sales rep is a salesperson who works on the road, visiting customers at their premises to sell, take orders, collect payment and keep the account active.
In distribution the field rep is often the only person from the company the shop owner ever meets. The rep sells, takes orders, checks the shelf, collects what is due and handles returns, so the rep carries the relationship as well as the route.
Reps usually work a fixed territory and a weekly plan of visits. They are measured on sales against target, collections, visits completed and the share of visits that produce a sale. A rep who sells from the van also answers for its stock and cash each day.
The common mistake is judging reps on sales alone. A rep who sells well but collects late fills receivables with old debt, and one who skips small shops lets them slip to a competitor. Collections and coverage belong on the same scorecard as sales.
In Axon Suite
In Axon Suite each field rep is tied to one subsidiary and works from the rep app, checking in, selling, invoicing, collecting and taking returns even with no signal.
Check-ins, orders, invoices, payments and returns are saved on the phone when there is no signal, then sent once it returns. Each one keeps the day of the sale and is sent only once, however often it has to retry.
