Mobile printing is printing invoices and receipts in the field on a portable printer, often paired with the rep’s phone, so the customer gets a paper copy on the spot.
In plain words
In van sales the customer pays at the door and wants the invoice in hand before the rep leaves. A portable printer turns the phone into a sales counter, and the printed invoice is often what the shop keeps for its own records.
Portable printers are usually small thermal units carried on a belt or in the van and paired with the phone over Bluetooth. Where e-invoicing applies, the printed copy has to carry the same details and QR code as the electronic invoice.
The common mistake is printing before the invoice is final. A copy printed and then changed on the phone leaves the customer holding a document that does not match the books.
