Partial receipt

In Arabic الاستلام الجزئي

A partial receipt is a goods receipt that records only part of a purchase order’s quantity, with the remainder left open on the order until it arrives or is cancelled.

In plain words

Suppliers often deliver an order in several loads: what they had in stock now, the rest when it is made or shipped. Recording each load as it arrives keeps stock true from the first day and shows exactly what the supplier still owes, so buyers can chase it.

Each receipt records what arrived against the order lines, and the order shows partly received until the last line is complete. It is the buying side of a partial shipment, which is a sale sent to a customer in parts. Bills then follow what was received, not what was ordered.

The common mistake is waiting for the whole order before receiving any of it. The goods sit in the warehouse without being on the books, they cannot be sold, and nobody can tell what is actually missing. Receive what came, the day it came.

In Axon Suite

How Axon Suite handles it

In Axon Suite each receipt takes what arrived, and the order shows partly received until the rest comes in. A receipt opened from the approved order fills itself with what is still to come.

Feature

Receive against the order, never over it

Open the approved order and the receipt fills itself with what is still to come. Put it into bins, enter lots or serials where the item is tracked, and take part now and the rest later. A receipt past the ordered quantity is refused.
