Every pricing system needs a way out: a damaged carton, a matched competitor quote, a key account. A price override is that way out, and how it is controlled decides whether price lists stay meaningful or become a suggestion.
Most businesses limit overrides to named people, record who changed which price, and compare the typed price with the list price so the gap can be reported. Some allow overrides only upwards, or within a band.
The common mistake is checking the permission only on the screen. If the rule lives in the form and not on the server, an import, a mobile app or a second screen lets the same price through unchecked.
In Axon Suite
In Axon Suite a price typed away from the list needs the price-override permission, given through the user’s role. Without it the document is refused, on the preview and on save alike, from the office or the rep app.
A price typed away from the list, a header discount past your maximum, or a line discount while line discounts are switched off all need the price-override permission. Without it the document is refused, on the preview and on save alike, from the office or the rep app.
