Take the return at the shelf, credit it by your rules
A rep takes back goods during the visit, against one of the customer’s invoices or on their own. Your field settings decide how far the return goes on its own: approved, received into stock, and passed for credit without inspection.

How a field return moves
During the visit
The rep picks the items, quantities and the condition of each, against an invoice or without one.
Approved
Approval is automatic only when your settings allow it and the rep’s profile may approve returns. Otherwise the office approves.
Received
If your settings say so, the approved return is received into the rep’s warehouse straight away.
Credited
Without inspection the return is settled by your default disposition and credited; with it, it waits for inspection.
Details that matter
Against the right invoice
A return against an invoice must name one of that customer’s invoices that the rep can see.
Without an invoice
A return on its own may only include items from the rep’s catalogue.
Switched off in one place
Turn off field returns in the settings and every return from the rep app is refused.
Questions buyers ask
Can a rep take a return with no signal?
Yes. The return waits on the phone and is sent with the rest when the signal returns.
Who approves a field return?
The rep, if your settings allow automatic approval and the rep’s profile may approve returns. Anyone else waits for the office.
Do returned goods go back into stock?
Yes, once the return is received. Your settings decide whether that happens straight away or later.
