In Arabic البيع المسبق
Presales is a distribution method in which a rep visits the customer to take an order, and the goods are delivered later from the warehouse, usually the next day.
In presales the rep carries a catalogue rather than stock. Orders from the day’s visits go back to the warehouse, are picked and loaded overnight, and a delivery truck brings them out the next day. The rep can cover more shops, because no time is spent unloading.
It suits a wide range of items, larger orders and products a van cannot carry. Because the warehouse sees every order before it ships, it can pick by route and load each truck once, instead of loading every van with stock that may come back.
The common mistake is promising from the catalogue without checking stock. The shop is told it will get 40 cartons, the warehouse has 30, and the shortfall only appears when the truck arrives. Check availability when the order is taken, not when it is picked.
In Axon Suite
In Axon Suite a rep can take an order for later delivery from the rep app, and orders taken with no signal wait on the phone and sync when it returns.
Check-ins, orders, invoices, payments and returns are saved on the phone when there is no signal, then sent once it returns. Each one keeps the day of the sale and is sent only once, however often it has to retry.
